We decided that now that our new ward starts at one we would find something for our boys to do before church that is something other than tv and movies on Sunday. So, last night we bought stuff for them to make a gingerbread house. Ryan and I both realized that we don't remember ever making one and figured it would be fun! We got Josh down for a nap so that he is not cranky during church and got the project started. Right away we realized a problem. Jordan was just eating all the candy we gave him to decorate it. So, needless to say he didn't get to decorate much and Tanner did a good majority of the decorating. They both really enjoyed the way it looked when it was done, and Tanner loved putting the candy on. He kept trying to decorate it just the the picture on the box of the kit, and when he realized Daddy was putting different candy in different places he decided to just go with the flow and put candy wherever he could find a place. It was a great Sunday afternoon activity!

This is what it looked like before we let the kids get to it.

And here is the finished product! Jordan still with candy in his mouth :)

wow those are pretty impressive gingerbread houses! Your kids are smart, they know candy's for eating, no decorating!
very cute house! I can't wait to do that when Calvin gets bigger! Here's hoping for next year! I hope your boys don't get too much of a sugar buzz! lol!
